The large brick tower you see on the left side of the picture houses my three story tall stairwell. The space is immense with a Grand Canyon size echo. The sheer size and height made the space a design challenge. I wasn't sure how to decorate the walls with items of scale that didn't weight half a ton.
My plan was to make a faux tapestry using a few yards of heavy brocade material with an interesting design. I then added a few fringey-dangley details and voilà! The whole project including the hanging rods $45.
If you can sew a straight line, you can easily make this project yourself. It is as simple as 1-2-3-4.
2) Experiment with the placement of the fold over flap and any decorative edging. Once you have decided pin into place.
3)Sew. Be sure to create a channel for the rod to into. I can be hidden under the front fold over flap.
It is that easy!
