It is really the small things in life that bring the fullest sense of joy and accomplishment. For example, I am one teeny weeny load away from having ALL my laundry done! A feat I rarely can or care to accomplish. (If my mom is reding this she is beaming with pride and stunned! I can provide photographic eveidence.......if you need it Mom!) Sadly, much like working at the post office all my hard work will matter little tomorrow morning when a new batch of dirty things crops up in the hamper. But for one brief shining moment, I am the queen of this clean kingdom.
I continue to make little progress on my tank top. I have the time to knit but find myself vegg-ing out in front of the tv at night. The heat is really wearing me down. So I try to hydrate and stay entertained until I am too tired to do anything else but sleep. However the passage of May sweeps means my standards have dropped considerably. I must confess that long ago I began sneaking the Kirk Cameron tv show on a religious network. The latest episode was all about how to trick people into talking with you while you "witness" to them about Jesus. I am all for spreading the word if you feel that strongly but it hardly seems fair to trick people. For goodness sakes didn't most of us already get tricked with how many season's of Growing Pains? I have also begun watching........Dog the Bounty Hunter. I am mesmerized by his mullet meets Flock of Seagulls look and his heart of gold for even the creepiest of alleged felons. Finally, I can't get enough Buffy re-runs and anything on the National Geographic Channel but that we can all agree is nothing to be ashamed of. I mean its not like I am watching Fox News or something.
I am off to fold laundry and hopefully sneak in some knitting.
